MIRI, Sept 21: An elderly man experienced a terrifying ordeal shortly after midnight on Thursday when a gust of wind sent part of his 50-year-old wooden house collapsing to the ground.
The 68-year-old man is living alone in Kampung Tuan Abdul Rahman Lambir, but he was not injured in the freak episode. His house, however, has lost its kitchen.
The sexagenarian is currently taking shelter in a neighbour’s house.
Four Malaysia Civil Defence Force (APM) personnel were mobilised to the scene after being informed of the incident at about 9.15am. — DayakDaily
