KUCHING, March 3: The Kuching City North Commission (DBKU) has announced that there would be temporary road closures involving Jalan Tun Abang Haji Openg, Jalan Pearl, Jalan Main Bazaar, Jalan Wawasan, Jalan Taman Budaya and Jalan Barrack to give way for the first March edition of the Kuching Car Free Morning 2023 programme.
The road closures will take place on March 5, from 6am to 10am.
According to a statement from the DBKU director’s office, the programme is aimed at reducing carbon emissions, reducing traffic on roads, encouraging a healthy lifestyle and creating a space for interactive activities among city folks.
All road users are to cooperate and observe the instructions indicated on the signboards during the programme.
