SERIAN, Dec 26: Serian Flyover 1, at the main Serian roundabout, is 97 per cent completed and expected to be finished before Chinese New Year.
According to Sarawak Public Works Department (JKR), the only remaining work for this flyover is paving.
Meanwhile, JKR said Serian Flyover 2 in front of St Theresa’s Church at Taman Danau Serian was 72 per cent completed.
“Serian 2 is 72 per cent completed with finishing of parapet wall ongoing. The flyover is expected to be completed by February 2020,” said JKR.
The department said there had been no delay because the contractor was unaffected by the cancellation of project delivery partner (PDP) and that JKR has been making payment according to schedule.
“Overall, the project is on schedule as the works package contractor (WPC) carried out the work regardless of the termination of the PDP,” said JKR. —DayakDaily
