Serian back in ‘very unhealthy’ air quality category as API hits 214 as of 2pm (Sept 11)

KUCHING, Sept 11: Serian has once again entered the ‘very unhealthy’ category with an Air Pollutant Index (API) reading of 214 as of 2pm today.

According to the Natural Resources and Environment Board Sarawak (NREB), this is an increase from today’s 8am reading of 195.

Meanwhile, most areas in Sarawak recorded unhealthy readings, with Lundu at 196 followed by Tebedu (193), Lubok Antu (191), Samarahan (183), Kuching (181), Sri Aman (179), Betong (168), Sarikei and Kanowit (162), Samalaju (160), Sibu (157), Mukah (155), Bintulu and Miri (154), and ILP Miri (151).

Four areas recorded moderate readings, namely Lawas (99), Kapit (96), Limbang (82), and Bario (57).
