SIBU, Jan 20: A driver was killed after his car crashed into a tree at Jalan Salim/Stabau here this afternoon.
According to Sibu Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) District 4 chief Wan Kamaruddin Wan Ahmad, the department received an emergency call around 3.50pm.
“Arriving at the scene, we found a Toyota Vios car had crashed into a roadside tree.”
He added that the 65-year-old victim’s body had been removed from the car by members of the public before the firefighters arrived.
Wan Kamaruddin also disclosed the victim was pronounced dead at the scene by a medical team which rushed to the scene of the crash after receiving an emergency call.
The body of the victim was then handed over to the police for further action. — DayakDaily
