KUCHING, Oct 2: Bishop of the Anglican Church of Kuching and Brunei Reverend Datuk Danald Jute was granted an audience with Sultan of Selangor, Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah Alhaj, at Istana Bukit Kayangan in Shah Alam today.
During their meeting, the Sultan of Selangor and Danald exchanged views on various current issues.
According to a post on the Selangor Royal Office Facebook page, the Selangor ruler had previously visited Danald’s residence in Kuching during His Majesty’s visit to Sarawak in November 2023.
Danald has served as Bishop since Aug 13, 2017, and has been actively involved in interfaith discussions and dialogues internationally, including at Al-Azhar University in Egypt.
He also chairs the Anglican Inter-Faith Commission and the Association of Churches in Sarawak. — DayakDaily
