KUCHING, June 19: A security guard was sentenced to jail and fined RM2,000 by the Magistrate’s Court here today after admitting to leaving an obscene handwritten note smeared with his semen on a female employee’s desk at an oil and gas (O&G) company last year.
The 27-year-old pleaded guilty before Magistrate Ling Hui Chuan to a charge under Section 507B of the Penal Code, which provides for a jail term of up to three years, a fine, or both upon conviction.
The court also ordered the accused to serve an additional two months’ imprisonment if he fails to pay the fine.
According to the charge, the accused left a yellow piece of paper containing insulting and obscene words, which had been smeared with his semen, on the desk of a 34-year-old female employee at the company’s office at Muara Tebas at about 6.15am on Dec 11, 2025.
Based on the facts of the case, the victim, a mechanical administrator, discovered the note on her office desk upon arriving at work.
Disturbed by its contents and the suspicious stains on the paper, she lodged a police report, prompting an investigation. The accused was arrested on June 16 this year.
Investigations were further strengthened after a DNA analysis confirmed that the biological sample found on the note was semen, which was traced to the accused.
The prosecution said the accused’s conduct caused the victim emotional distress, humiliated her dignity, and offended her modesty.
Deputy Public Prosecutor Muhammad Afiq Safly Kazly prosecuted the case, while the accused was not represented by legal counsel. — DayakDaily
