KUCHING, Sept 15: Three new community clusters have been reported in Bau and Pakan, involving 134 confirmed Covid-19 cases so far.
According to the reports by the State Disaster Management Committee (SDMC) today, the Sebobok Cluster was traced to Kampung Sebobok at Jagoi, Bau while the Sungai Ipoh and Sungai Buloh Clusters originated from longhouses at Sungai Ipoh and Sungai Buloh, Pakan respectively.
A total of 84 individuals from the Sebobok Cluster were screened where 76 tested positive for the virus, whereas eight tested negative.
In the Sungai Ipoh Cluster, 41 individuals were swabbed and 37 tested positive while the remaining four were negative.
As for the Sungai Buloh Cluster, 21 tested positive for the virus among 23 samples.
SDMC assured that all patients have been admitted to hospitals and Low-risk Treatment and Quarantine Centres (PKRCs).
Meanwhile, Kampung Sungai Linsat Cluster in Serian was declared ended today following 28 consecutive days of zero new cases from the cluster.
With that, Sarawak is left with 141 active clusters at present. — DayakDaily
