Search underway for 37yo man who went missing while bathing in Baram river

KUCHING, June 7: A search is underway for a man who went missing while bathing in a river in Baram with his family on Saturday (June 6).

In a report from the Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba), a call was received at 12.30am today, and firefighters from the Marudi station were deployed.

Based on the chronology of events, the victim, 37-year-old Maxwell Laing Michael, was reported to be bathing in the Baram River with his family at around 3pm when he went missing.

“A search was conducted by villagers; however, the victim was not found before a report was lodged,” said the report. — DayakDaily
