SDMC: Third consecutive day with zero Covid-19 case

KUCHING, Nov 23: Sarawak has reported zero new Covid-19 cases for three consecutive days since the recent spike in cases.

State Disaster Management Committee (SDMC) said the cumulative number of positive cases remains at 1,055 with five new recoveries today.


“There are five new cases who have recovered and bring discharged from hospitals today.

“This amounts to a total of 982 Covid-19 cases who have recovered and discharged, or 93.08 per cent of total positive Covid-19 cases in Sarawak,” it said.

No new clusters were reported in the state today, thus the six clusters that remain active are the Besi Cluster (12 cases), Abell Cluster (15 cases), Baki Cluster (33 cases), Seladah Cluster (nine cases), Greenhill Cluster (91 cases) and Wisma Saberkas Cluster (44 cases).

Kuching continues to be a Covid-19 red zone while Miri and Lawas remain as yellow zones.

SDMC also noted nine new person-under-investigation (PUI) cases and one case awaiting laboratory test results.

Meanwhile, the committee said there were 304 person-under-surveillance (PUS) who were registered into various hotels across Sarawak to be quarantined.

There is now a total of 3,103 individuals under quarantine in 33 hotels throughout Sarawak while 33,285 PUS have completed their 14-day quarantine. — DayakDaily
