KUCHING, Feb 2: Six more medical staff have been found contracting Coronavirus in different health facilities in Miri, Sibu and Julau districts.

In the press statement released by Sarawak Disaster Management Committee (SDMC) today, out of the 20 new Covid-19 infections in Miri, four of them involved medical personnel.

Sibu which has been registering huge number of cases in the past two weeks, today reported 13 new cases of which one case involved a healthcare provider in a medical facility in Sibu District.

Julau which did not register high Covid-19 cases, today reported one case but this sole case involved medical staff infection.

Taking into account today’s six new cases, it means since the outbreak of the fourth Covid-19 pandemic wave in Sarawak, Coronavirus had caused at least 82 medical staff to be infected.
