KUCHING, June 1: Sarawak Dayak Graduates Association (SDGA) president Dr Dusit Jaul calls on the Dayak community to use Gawai Dayak as a time for reflection.
He urged them to reflect on their past achievements and their plans for the future.
“Hopefully, an auspicious occasion like this provides us with the opportunity to reflect upon past achievements and plans for the future,” he said.
He added this was crucial as the Dayak community will need to build its future with the rest of the communities in Malaysia.
It was also his hope that a clean and transparent government whose priority is to serve the people may be the foundation to push Malaysia forward further.
“We have to build our future together so as to enable each and every one of us to enjoy the fruits of prosperity in bountiful Malaysia, a country hopefully which will see more development in years to come by building upon the foundation of a clean and transparent government that prioritises the rakyat above all else,” said Dusit.
He also wished all members of the Dayak community a happy, meaningful and blessed Gawai Dayak. — DayakDaily
