KUCHING, July 5: Sarawak Digital Economy Corporation Berhad (SDEC), a company wholly-owned by the Sarawak government through State Financial Secretary Inc under the Ministry of Finance and Economic Planning, and Alibaba Cloud, the digital technology and intelligence backbone of Alibaba Group announced a collaboration today to digitalise small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in Sarawak and to propel the state towards a digital future.
Through the cooperation, SDEC will leverage on the powerful public cloud service offered by Alibaba Cloud, especially on advanced features like elastic computing, big data and Artificial Intelligence (AI).
SDEC and Alibaba Cloud in a joint statement said SMEs that currently use SDEC’s cloud platform SDeCloud will be able to choose solutions and products provided by Alibaba Cloud.
By maximising Alibaba Cloud’s proven technology, local SMEs could achieve business agility, elasticity and scalability in a better way and optimise cost for information technology (IT) management.
With over 10 years’ experience in digital transformation and expertise in different industries, Alibaba Cloud will also help SDEC in terms of enhancing the impact and reach of the corporation’s larger initiatives to fast track digitalisation programmes in Sarawak.
