KUCHING, July 15: Satok Bridge Area Consulting Engineers Sdn Bhd of Sarawak is one of the five winners of the Shell LiveWIRE Malaysia 2022 from a pool of 15 entrepreneurs from Sarawak, Sabah, and Peninsular Malaysia.
The other winners are Beebag, manekNya, and Qarbotech from Peninsular Malaysia, with Hong Xin Food Sdn Bhd from Sabah.
Shell’s first national-level entrepreneurship development programme saw the winners receiving a start-up fund of RM30,000 each and the opportunity to connect with the global LiveWIRE ecosystem to share their knowledge with entrepreneurs around the globe while standing a chance to compete in the annual Shell Global Top Ten Innovators Awards.
Tabung Ekonomi Gagasan Anak Sarawak (Tegas) awarded an additional cash prize of RM20,000 to Satok Bridge Area Consulting Engineers as motivation to inspire more participation from Sarawak.
Deputy Prime Minister Dato Sri Fadillah Yusof presented the awards to the winners at an award ceremony held at Tegas Digital Village in Sama Jaya Free Industrial Zone today.
Fadillah’s wife, Datin Sri Ruziah Mohd Tahir; Deputy Minister for Natural Resources and Urban Development and chairman of Tegas, Datuk Len Talip Salleh; Deputy Minister for Energy and Environmental Sustainability, Dr Hazland Abang Hipni; Deputy Minister of Corporate Affairs and Sarawak Public Communication Unit (Ukas), Datuk Abdullah Saidol; and Country Chair for Shell Malaysia and Senior Vice President Upstream Malaysia, Siti Sulaiman were also present at the award ceremony. — DayakDaily
