KUCHING, Aug 5: Sarawak’s revenue this year is expected to be more than RM13.3 billion recorded last year, says Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg.
According to a report by TVS, he said the projection does not even include the estimated revenue from the acquisition of natural gas aggregator rights.
“The acquisition of gas aggregator rights from Petroliam Nasional Bhd (PETRONAS) to Petroleum Sarawak Berhad (PETROS) is based on law.
“The law enacted regarding aggregators is also based on the constitution. We implement the law based on the rights in the Constitution,” he said when speaking at a tea ceremony organised by the Office of Premier of Sarawak (OPS) today in conjunction with the Premier’s birthday (Aug 4).
Also present were Abang Johari’s wife, Puan Sri Datuk Amar Juma’ani Tun Tuanku Bujang and Deputy Premiers Datuk Amar Douglas Uggah Embas, Datuk Amar Awang Tengah Ali Hasan and Datuk Amar Dr Sim Kui Hian. — DayakDaily
