KUCHING, June 5: The public is invited to pay their final respects to the late Corporal Etin Jam at Kuching Civic Centre tomorrow (June 6) from 12pm to midnight.
According to a report by Sarawak Public Communications Unit (Ukas) today, Etin’s remains will be at Kuching Civic Centre for dignitaries, family members, and the public to pay their final respects.
Etin passed away at Miri Hospital yesterday (June 4) at 6.49am at the age of 83. He was brought back to his residence at Spring Riam, Miri, for family members and friends to pay their final respects.
He will be transported to Kuching in a Royal Malaysian Air Force aircraft tomorrow (June 6) for a funeral service on June 7 at St Thomas’ Cathedral, before being laid to rest at the Heroes’ Grave.
The public can also pay their final respects at the Heroes’ Grave from 10am to 12pm on June 7 before Etim is laid to rest.
Etin was the last surviving recipient of the Seri Pahlawan Gagah Perkasa (SP) medal from Sarawak. — DayakDaily
