Sarawak’s Covid-19 cases soar to new record of 3,747, second highest in Malaysia today

KUCHING, Sept 5: Sarawak’s daily Covid-19 cases jumped to a new high of 3,747 today, placing second among all the States in Malaysia.

The figure was revealed by Health director-general Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah just minutes ago, thus pushing Sarawak’s cumulative toll up to 130,898.


Selangor, still at the top of the list, today recorded 3,886 cases.

Following after Sarawak were Johor with 2,165 cases, Sabah with 2,136, Pulau Pinang with 1,961, and Kedah with 1,587.

Kelantan and Perak also reported a high number of three-digit caseloads of 1,078 and 1,057 respectively.

Terengganu came in eighth place with 861 cases before Kuala Lumpur (597), Pahang (486), Melaka (459) and Negeri Sembilan (269).

Perlis has a low count of 78 while Putrajaya registered 25 cases. Likewise, Labuan reported only four new cases today. — DayakDaily
