KUCHING, Jan 29: Sarawak-born Dion Das Louis, also known fondly as ‘The Little Bornean Birdie’, will represent Malaysia in competition at World Championship of Performing Arts 2024 at Long Beach, California, United States of America.
This comes following his victory as the gold winner in the Junior Dance Category at the grand finale of Malaysian Championship of Performing Arts 2024 at Panggung Bandaraya Kuala Lumpur in the country’s capital last Saturday (Jan 27).
During the competition organised by MyCreative Promotion Sdn Bhd, the 8-year-old captured the hearts of judges and the audience with his graceful ethnic contemporary dance inspired by the magnificent ‘burung ruai’, ‘burung kenyalang’ and ‘ngajat Iban’ dance.
