KUCHING, Jan 19: Sarawakian hero Corporal Kuda Kendawang has passed away, with the funeral scheduled to take place tomorrow morning (Jan 20).
The late Kuda was a recipient of the Pingat Jasa Pahlawan Negara (PJPN) service medal which was conferred to him by the then Minister of Home Affairs, Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin, during a ceremony at UCSI Hotel here on July 29, 2019.

He was noted for his time on the police force where he fought the communists at Tanjung Kunyit in Bintangor, which was known as ‘Binatang’ back then, in 1972 and was shot in the stomach.
His wake is currently being held at the St Joseph Cathedral Funeral Chapel here. — DayakDaily
