Together with other State leaders, they also participated in a mass takbir raya event.

After the sermon, the guests-of-honour posed for a group photo in the front hall of Masjid Jamek before moving to Dewan Hikmah to attend the Sarawak Islamic Council’s Aidiladha Thanksgiving Ceremony.

During the ceremony, Wan Junaidi and Abang Johari also observed the ‘ibadah korban’ (Islamic ritual sacrifice), before participating in the cutting of sacrificial meat.

For the record, a total of 1,240 cows were sacrificed to be distributed to asnaf groups throughout Sarawak in conjunction with this year’s Hari Raya Aidiladha celebration. — DayakDaily
