“Next week, we’re going to have our Dewan Undangan Negeri sitting. It’s going to be our budget sitting.

“The Premier will be presenting the budget for next year and I can hint a bit… this is going to be the largest budget that we have ever had,” he told reporters after officiating the Sarawak Women of Tomorrow (SWOT) 2026 Season 5 programme at Damai Lagoon Resort, Santubong, today.

The Sarawak Legislative Assembly is scheduled to sit from Oct 12 to 21 and is expected to be the final meeting of the 19th Sarawak Legislative Assembly before the expiry of its current term.

Previously, Sarawak Legislative Assembly Speaker Tan Sri Datuk Amar Mohamad Asfia Awang Nassar said his office had yet to receive any Bills from the Sarawak government.

Details of the sitting’s agenda and any proposed legislation are expected to be announced ahead of the meeting. — DayakDaily
