KUCHING, April 8: Sarawakians will now be facing the seventh extension of the statewide Conditional Movement Control Order (CMCO), which is scheduled to last until April 26.
Since Jan 18, 2021, the State Disaster Management Committee (SDMC) has been implementing CMCO on the whole of Sarawak due to the continuously high number of new cases each day.
SDMC in its statement today announced that the statewide CMCO would be further extended from 12.01am on April 13 to 11.59pm on April 26.
This decision was made with the consensus of all committee members, following an assessment that the Covid-19 situation in Sarawak has not subsided as of today.
The CMCO was initially scheduled to end on 11.59pm on April 12 before the extension was announced. — DayakDaily
