KUCHING, Sept 24: Collaboration with international media holds significant potential to showcase Sarawak’s unique offerings on the global stage.
In a Sarawak Public Communication Unit (Ukas) news report, Deputy Premier Datuk Amar Dr Sim Kui Hian highlighted that these offerings encompass tourism, education, cultural heritage, and talent development, all of which can help introduce the region to the wider world.
“Sarawak has many remarkable products that are currently only known locally. Their uniqueness has yet to reach foreign audiences.
“We have excellent products in Sarawak, but despite the power of social media, they remain largely unrecognised outside our State. This is our opportunity to leverage these platforms and showcase our diverse offerings to the world,” he added.
He made these remarks to reporters after officiating the launch of Mango Media (Borneo) Sdn Bhd, a branch of China’s Hunan Broadcasting that has recently opened in Sarawak today.
The Minister for Public Health, Housing, and Local Government also noted that Sarawak’s diverse and vibrant lifestyle could be transformed into compelling tourism experiences if promoted dynamically.
“Through collaboration with Mango Media, which has substantial reach and expertise, Sarawak can position itself on the global stage,” he said. — DayakDaily
