KUCHING, May 4: Sarawak will follow the federal government’s conditional movement control order (CMCO) to allow four persons from the same household to travel in the same vehicle.
“The state’s stance is that since this has been gazetted as the law, therefore Sarawak will comply accordingly. We now allow four persons to travel in a vehicle,” State Disaster Management Committee chairman Datuk Amar Douglas Uggah Embas said in a statement today.
On May 3, Senior Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob announced that a maximum of four family members will be allowed to travel in one vehicle during the CMCO, which starts today (May 4).
“Social distancing is not an issue as it involves family members from the same household who are already together at home. The government allows for a maximum of four family members, but they must be from the same family and household,” he said in his daily MCO press briefing in Putrajaya. — DayakDaily
