Sarawak sees two new Covid-19 cases today

KUCHING, June 6: Sarawak today reported two new positive cases of Covid-19.

State Disaster Management Committee (SDMC) in a statement today said the two cases were from Kuching and Kota Samarahan each.

With the additional new cases, the committee said the number of cumulative positive Covid-19 case has risen to 555 cases.

It added there were 26 new person-under-investigation (PUI) while 17 cases are awaiting laboratory results.

SDMC stated that there was also one Covid-19 patient who had recovered and been discharged from the Sarawak General Hospital today.

It revealed that there were 645 Sarawakian returnees from Peninsular Malaysia, Sabah and Labuan who had registered as person-under-surveillance (PUS) today.

In addition, SDMC said that there were 1,852 Sarawakians still being quarantined at the respective hotels as PUS throughout Sarawak.

The committee revealed that 13,472 Sarawakians had completed their 14-day quarantines today.—DayakDaily
