Sarawak sees eight new Covid-19 cases, four each from Kuching and Samarahan

KUCHING, July 25: Sarawak reported eight new positive cases of Covid-19 today with four cases from Kuching and the balance of four cases from Samarahan.

The information was disclosed by Ministry of Health (MoH) in a press statement.

Elaborating further, the health ministry said out of the eight new cases, four were from the Sentosa Hospital cluster, one from an engineering company cluster, one from a close contact of a construction company, one from a screening of a worker returning back to work and one from a random sampling of a person who arrived at an airport.

MoH added that there was also a new Covid-19 cluster which was formed today known as the Kuching construction company cluster


In the meantime, information from the Sarawak Disaster Management Committee (SDMC)’s graphic showed there were 18 new cases of person-under-investigation (PUI) and 13 PUI cases are awaiting laboratory results. —DayakDaily
