Sarawak reports 20 Covid-19 fatalities including 27 yo Sibu man without comorbidities

KUCHING, Oct 4: Sarawak today reported 20 deaths due to Covid-19 which occurred between June 15 and October 3.

According to a report from the Sarawak Disaster Management Committee (SDMC), one death involved an 83-year-old Kuching man who passed away on June 15.

There was also one casualty each reported on September 4, September 15 and September 28 involving three men from Kuching: a 66-year-old with hypertension and diabetes, a 28-year-old who was brought-in-dead (BID) and had no history of illness, and a 76-year-old who had hypertension and asthma.


The State also recorded one death involving a 43-year-old woman from Miri with hypertension on September 30.

On October 1, four deaths were reported in Sibu involving three men and one woman aged between 27 to 79.  The 27yo Sibu man who passed away did not have records of underlying health conditions or illnesses.

On October 2, 10 deaths were reported involving six women and four men from Sibu, Kuching and Kapit aged between 57 to 84.

One death was reported on October 3 involving a 55-year-old man from Kapit.

With this, the Covid-19 death toll in Sarawak has increased to 903. — DayakDaily
