Sarawak records zero Covid-19 deaths today

KUCHING, Nov 28: Sarawak has recorded zero new Covid-19 deaths today, maintaining the death tally at 1,584.

The last zero-death record was on Aug 20, which was over three months ago.


As for the new caseloads, Sarawak Disaster Management Committee (SDMC) reported 158 cases whereby 153 were of mild Categories 1 and 2 while the remaining five were in the severe Categories 3, 4, and 5.

Further breaking it down, there were 54 Category 1’s, 99 Category 2’s, three Category 3’s, zero Category 4, and two Category 5’s.

In terms of districts, Kuching remained at the top registering 42 cases, followed by Miri (19), Sibu (19), Serian (15), and Bintulu (10).

The rest with new infections included Kanowit (9), Lundu (7), Samarahan (6), Simunjan (6), Betong (4), Sarikei (4), Lawas (2), Dalat (2), Bau (2), Kabong (1), Matu (1), and Tebedu (1).

The cumulative number of Covid-19 cases in Sarawak thus increased to 250,524 as of this day.

Concerning clusters, there were neither new clusters nor new cases traced back to any existing clusters today.

Sarawak is as of this day left with only four active clusters namely the Putai 2 Cluster of Bukit Mabong, Ensurai Cluster of Limbang, Jalan Sultan Tengah Rampangi, and Jalan Ong Tiang Swee Clusters of Kuching. — DayakDaily
