In terms of vaccination, SDMC said a total of 90.5 per cent of total eligible population or 75.5 per cent of total Sarawak population were vaccinated with first two doses while 634,684 individuals have gotten their third booster shots.

The committee said the booster dose administration which began Oct 13, 2021 reflected positive effect on local Covid-19 situation which is evident in the downward trend of positive cases, deaths and Rt rate.

“SDMC would like to express its highest appreciation to all the people in Sarawak for cooperating with all agencies involved and always complying with the existing SOPs (standard operating procedures).

“With the recent approval of booster doses to adults aged 18 to 39 by the Ministry of Health (MOH), SDMC hopes that all eligible individuals will come forward to receive the booster dose vaccination when an appointment is given,” said SDMC. — DayakDaily
