KUCHING, Jan 31: Miri mayor Adam Yii Siew Sang has announced that the first phase of a piped gas supply to Medan Saberkas Miri has been completed, with 67 stalls receiving direct gas supply.

Yii also stated that Sarawak Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg would officiate at the official launch of the piped gas supply on Saturday, Feb 4, at 10am at Medan Saberkas Miri.

He disclosed this in a report after chairing the Miri City Council (MCC) Ordinary Meeting today in Miri.

“I would like to thank Petroleum Sarawak Berhad (Petros) for absorbing the capital cost of the installation. The project is being jointly undertaken by Petros,” he said.

On another note, Yii mentioned that the ‘Borneo Park Miri’ app will be launched on Wednesday, Feb 1 at the Miri City Hall Chamber, with the app being developed collaboratively by MCC and Borneo Parking Systems.

“The ‘Borneo Park Miri’ app is an updated version that will replace the ‘SmartParking Borneo’ app that is currently in use.

“Following the launch ceremony, more information about the new app will be made available,” he added. — DayakDaily
