Sarawak Premier takes helm as new patron of AZAM Sarawak, continuing legacy of leadership

KUCHING, May 15: Sarawak Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg has been appointed as the new patron of Angkatan Zaman Mansang (AZAM) Sarawak.

A press release from AZAM today said the esteemed role was previously held by the late former Sarawak Head of State (TYT) Tun Pehin Sri Abdul Taib Mahmud.

Abang Johari has been appointed as the new patron of AZAM Sarawak.

“We received confirmation of this significant commitment on May 2, 2024, from Dato Haji Khir Haji Busrah, Principal Private Secretary to the YAB Premier of Sarawak.

“YAB Premier’s leadership and vision will be instrumental in guiding AZAM Sarawak as we continue to advance in achieving our mission and goals. AZAM Sarawak will benefit from his profound and comprehensive knowledge, experience and commitment to the development of Sarawak.
