Reflecting on the two-year journey leading to this historic win, SPA Deputy President Abdul Aziz Abdul Waheed commended the athletes’ belief in their ability to triumph in 2024. He noted that the success was driven by a concerted effort to nurture young talent, particularly in the Sub Juniors and Juniors divisions.

SPA Vice President Daryl Albright highlighted the rise of young athletes as a positive sign of growth in the sport.

He stated that Sarawak’s victory is a testament to the collective effort of athletes, coaches, and supporters who have dedicated themselves to advancing powerlifting in the region.
