He added that the initiative is part of ongoing efforts to uphold Islamic knowledge and nurture a generation that is well-versed in the Quran among the community.

Misnu also explained that the effort is also in line with the Sarawak government’s aspiration to strengthen holistic ummah development encompassing education, spirituality, and character building.

“The development of institutions based on Islamic knowledge must be continuously strengthened to ensure the community remains firmly guided by the teachings of the Quran and the Sunnah,” he said.

He said this at the Sarawak Islamic Agencies Aidilfitri Appreciation Ceremony 2026 held at the Kuching Islamic Complex Hall on Sunday (Mar 29).

The event saw the attendance of Yang di-Pertua Negeri of Sarawak, Tun Pehin Sri Dr Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar, and his wife, Toh Puan Datuk Patinggi Fauziah Mohd Sanusi. — DayakDaily
