Sarawak marks zero Covid-19 patients in ICU today

KUCHING, Sept 20: Sarawak marks a day with zero Covid-19 patients receiving treatment in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) today.

State Disaster Management Committee (SDMC) said that zero Covid-19 case has been reported today, which makes the cumulative number of cases remaining at 701.


There were no new recoveries as well from any hospital across Sarawak, whereby two patients each from Hospital Sibu and Hospital Sungai Buloh, Selangor are still receiving treatment and being isolated.

SDMC also stated the only active cluster in the state being the Alam Cluster in Bintulu with a total of eight related cases though all of them have already recovered and been discharged.

Meanwhile, the committee noted a total of four new person-under-investigation (PUI) cases and zero cases awaiting laboratory test results.

It also said that there were 10 person-under-surveillance (PUS) who were registered into various hotels across Sarawak to be quarantined.

At present a total of 574 individuals are under quarantine in 11 hotels throughout Sarawak while 24,177 PUS have completed their 14-day quarantine. —DayakDaily
