Sarawak marks 23 consecutive days with no local Covid-19 transmissions

KUCHING, Sept 21: Sarawak entered its 23rd day without recording a new case of local Covid-19 transmission.

The State Disaster Management Committee (SDMC) in a press statement disclosed that with no new case reported today, the cumulative number of Covid-19 cases in Sarawak remains at 701.

Two patients are still being treated in hospital isolation wards in Sibu Hospital and Sungai Buloh Hospital, Selangor.

Five new Person-Under-Investigation (PUI) cases were recorded. No laboratory test results are pending.

SDMC also revealed there are 48 persons registered into hotels today to undergo quarantine as Persons-Under-Surveillance (PUS)

There are presently 540 PUS quarantined at 11 hotels throughout Sarawak. A total of 24,324 PUS have completed the mandatory 14-day quarantine as of today. — DayakDaily
