Sarawak logs 57 new Covid-19 cases, none in critical condition

KUCHING, April 25: Sarawak has recorded 57 new Covid-19 cases today, of which 24 were reported in Kuching while other districts reported only single-digit cases.

According to Sarawak Disaster Management Committee (SDMC), Miri recorded nine cases, followed by Sibu (7), Bintulu (5), Limbang (3), Samarahan (2), Serian (2) while Mukah, Matu, Sarikei, Kanowit, and Kabong reported one case each.


This brings the cumulative number of confirmed Covid-19 cases in Sarawak to 304,877.

Of the new cases reported, 23 cases were classified under Category 1 (asymptomatic) and 34 cases under Category 2 (mild symptoms). None are in critical condition (Categories 3, 4, and 5).

There were no new Covid-19 deaths and clusters reported today. — DayakDaily
