KUCHING, Nov 22: The Third Meeting of the Fourth Session of the 19th Sarawak Legislative Assembly (DUS) will be held over eight days from Nov 24 to Dec 3, 2025.
DUS Speaker Tan Sri Datuk Amar Mohamad Asfia Awang Nassar has announced the sitting will take place at the Assembly Chamber, Level 8 in DUS Complex starting at 9am, with no sittings on the weekend (Nov 29 and 30).
“There will be five rules of law namely Supply 2026 Bill, 2025, Supplementary Supply 2025 Bill, 2025, Constitution of the State of Sarawak (Amendment) Bill, 2025, Buildings (Amendment) Bill, 2025 and Sustainable Resources and Wastes Management Bill, 2025,” he said during the press conference held at Parti Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu (PBB) headquarters here today.
He further said the question and answer (Q&A) session will be held for four days from Nov 25 to 28.
There are 431 questions received from 40 honourable members.
“Out of these 341 questions, 257 are for oral replies and 84 for written replies.
“The Ministry of Public Health, Housing and Local Government Sarawak (MPHLG) has received the highest number of questions with 58 questions,” he added.
Ministers will be delivering the winding-up speeches from Dec 1 until the final day of sitting on Dec 3.
As of the deadline on Nov 21, the DUS secretariat had received no private motions from assembly members.
Also present during the press conference were PBB secretary-general Dato Sri Alexander Nanta Linggi, Deputy DUS Speaker Dato Idris Buang and DUS secretary Nur Azhar Bujang. — DayakDaily
