“Stable prices go beyond mere numbers in economic reports for they represent tangible relief for households across the State,” he said after co-chairing the Technical Working Group on Price Stabilisation in Sarawak meeting with Deputy Minister in the Premier’s Department (Law, MA63 and Federal-State Relations) Datuk Sharifah Hasidah Sayeed Aman Ghazali today.

The meeting brought together representatives from the federal government, the Sarawak government, implementing agencies, and research institutions.

Nanta revealed that the meeting reviewed findings from the Price Stabilisation Study conducted by Universiti Malaysia Sarawak (Unimas) and discussed follow-up measures to ensure that goods and services remain stable, reasonable, and affordable, particularly for essential items.

He added that the low inflation rate reflects strong collaboration between the federal and State governments and aligns with the Madani government’s goal of ensuring the well-being of the people, strengthening household economic resilience, and leaving no group behind in nation’s development. — DayakDaily
