Sarawak govt to look into fulfilling 8,000 PPR Bandaria Park residents’ dream to own their homes

BINTULU, Nov 3: The Sarawak government has expressed its willingness to consider the wishes of approximately 8,000 residents of PPR Bandaria Park to own their homes.

The concept of the 1,000-unit apartment developed by Housing Development Corporation (HDC) is based on a Rent-To-Own (RTO) scheme at the moment, Sarawak Public Communications Unit (Ukas) reported.

Deputy Premier of Sarawak Datuk Amar Awang Tengah Ali Hasan who empathised with the voices of the residents, said he would bring up the application of the apartment residents to the relevant authorities.


“I will discuss with HDC on this matter,” he said during a function held here today.

Awang Tengah further said he would look into the water pressure issue occurring in the area as well as bring up the proposed route for nearby school to the relevant ministry.
