KUCHING, July 12: Luxury watch modification brand Aet Remould has launched a limited edition of a Rolex Cosmograph Daytona timepiece featuring the theme of ‘Sarawak’ which is listed at USD$114,300 or RM531,500 on the brand’s website.
According to Aet Remould’s official website, the dial “incorporates the three elements of Sarawak’s map, the State flag and the State emblem, and extracts the main colour of yellow in the State flag, with a pure sapphire case to create a new model with Sarawak characteristics.”
The brand appears to have taken a Rolex Cosmograph Daytona and modified its dial and bezel to feature the State’s colours of red, yellow and black, with an imprint of the map of Sarawak incorporated into the face of the watch.
As of now, the watch is listed as a ‘unique piece’, which means there will only be one made available for sale.
A call to some local watch dealers showed that they had no knowledge of the watch.
Aet Remould is a brand from Germany, famous for its modification of watches by injecting unique and iconic designs into timepieces produced by other watch makers.
It has since launched several collections and nearly 100 timepieces, with its distinctive and exclusive designs. — DayakDaily
