Sarawak enters second Covid-19-free day as green state

KUCHING, Sept 14: Sarawak has been a green state for two days consecutively today.

State Disaster Management Committee (SDMC) said that zero Covid-19 case has been reported today, which makes the cumulative number of cases remaining at 700.


There were no new recoveries as well from any hospital across Sarawak, whereby three patients each from Hospital Bintulu, Hospital Sibu and Hospital Miri are still receiving treatment and being isolated.

SDMC also stated the only active cluster in the state being the Alam Cluster in Bintulu with a total of eight related cases.

Meanwhile, the committee noted a total of two new persons-under-investigation (PUI) cases and two cases awaiting laboratory test results.

It also said that there were 51 persons-under-surveillance (PUS) who were registered into various hotels across Sarawak to be quarantined.

There is now a total of 677 individuals under quarantine in 11 hotels throughout Sarawak while 23,889 PUS have completed their 14-day quarantine. —DayakDaily
