Sarawak Energy urges customers to use official channels for safe, secure payments

KUCHING, May 20: Sarawak Energy has reminded all its customers to use its official payment channels when settling bills to ensure transactions are secure, efficient, and accurately recorded and safeguard customers from payment errors and fraud.

According to a media release, authorised payment channels include:

  • Online platforms: SEB cares, SPAY Global, online banking and other authorised digital platforms.
  • Payment kiosks: Available at Sarawak Energy’s service counters and selected shopping malls, including Emart Batu Kawah, Emart Tabuan Tranquillity, Farley Kuching, Mydin Samariang, Mydin Petra Jaya, Metrocity Square, and Farley Sibu.
  • Autopay: Hassle-free automatic monthly deductions from customers’ selected payment card.
  • Retail outlets: Pos Malaysia, 7-Eleven, and H&L Supermarkets at participating branches
  • City council counters: Including MBKS and other authorised municipal offices.

“Sarawak Energy strongly advises against using third-party agents to make payments on their behalf. Customers remain liable for any unpaid bills resulting from invalid or unverified payment methods.

“In addition, the public is warned to stay alert for scams offering electricity bill discounts via phone, messaging apps, or social media. Do not respond or share personal information. Report suspicious activities immediately.
