Sarawak Energy takes preventive measures after HQ staff tests positive for Covid-19

KUCHING, March 15: An employee of Sarawak Energy Bhd (Sarawak Energy) has tested positive for the novel coronavirus (Covid-19).

According to a media statement issued by the power utility provider, the staff who works at the company’s headquarters, Menara Sarawak Energy, has been admitted into a hospital.


Sarawak Energy emphasised the well-being of its employee is of top-priority and Covid-19 related decisions will be guided and in compliance with all directives issued by the authorities.

SEB added that staff in Menara Sarawak Energy will work from home tomorrow (March 16) to allow for sanitisation and fumigation of the building.

The childcare centre at Menara Sarawak Energy, Little Power Genius, will also be closed for a period of two weeks.

“We will continue to cooperate with and implement all directives from the State Disaster Management Committee,” Sarawak Energy asserted. — DayakDaily
