KUCHING, Dec 11: Sarawak Energy is dedicated to fostering transparent and sustainable practices across its operations while empowering local communities to thrive.
Its senior vice president for Corporate Services Siti Aisah Adenan emphasised that Sarawak Energy will continue to support Sarawak’s growth by prioritising education, youth development, environmental management, conservation, cultural heritage preservation, and community development and entrepreneurship.
“These efforts are designed to create a positive impact on local communities and the environment, contributing to a greener, more sustainable future for all,” she stated during Sarawak Energy’s Santa Media Night at a hotel here last night (Dec 10).
Siti Aisah also reaffirmed Sarawak Energy’s goal to become Southeast Asia’s leading renewable energy powerhouse.
“We are committed to ensuring that our communities are powered by affordable, reliable, and sustainable energy,” she said.
She underscored the critical role of the media as a partner in achieving the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), which Sarawak Energy has aligned with, particularly in areas such as gender equality, clean water and sanitation, affordable and clean energy, decent work and economic growth, sustainable cities and communities, climate action, and partnerships for the goals.
“Each of you in the media is a vital partner in helping us achieve these goals and ambitions. Through our continued collaboration, we will ensure that our messages reflect Sarawak Energy’s values and objectives,” she added. — DayakDaily
