Sarawak Energy chairman Abdul Hamed Sepawi appointed to special advisory body consulting PM Anwar on finance

KUCHING, Feb 7: Sarawak Energy Berhad (SEB) chairman Datuk Amar Abdul Hamed Sepawi has been appointed as a member of a special advisory body to consult Prime Minister Dato Seri Anwar Ibrahim on finance matters.

Anwar, who is the Minister of Finance, said the special advisory body would consist of professionals and economic experts and will be led by Petronas Advisor Tan Sri Hassan Marican.

“Apart from Hassan, the body would be composed of FVDB executive chairman Dato Ahmad Fuad Md Ali; Professor of Economics at Sunway University, Professor Dr Yeah Kim Leng; University of Malaya Professor of Economics, Dato Senior Professor Rajah Rasiah and chairman of Sarawak Energy Berhad, Datuk Amar Abdul Hamed Sepawi.


“I reiterate that positions within this appointed special advisory body will not receive any payment from the government,” he said in a statement today. — DayakDaily
