When questioned about any upcoming meetings with the MoE, the minister stated that MEITD will engage in multiple discussions with the Federal side to address and reach a consensus on various matters.

“We need their agreement because they are still in charge of education, so directing the education department to work with us would be much easier,” he said.

Sagah further explained that he has not been able to disclose the matter that will be discussed with MoE yet because discussions are still ongoing.

“However, in general, I believe that the power of devolution gives Sarawak teachers the freedom to choose the method or system they want to use to improve the effectiveness of their teaching.

“MoE has been very responsive and cooperative with us,” he added. — DayakDaily
