KUCHING, Nov 3: Sarawak Commissioner of Police Datuk Mohd Azman Ahmad Sapri, has confirmed that only five police reports were received during the campaigning period for the Jepak by-election.

According Mohd Azman, the reports received involved minor cases such as the loss of party flags.

“No serious cases were reported during the campaigning period,” he told a press conference held at Sarawak Police Contingent Headquarters (IPK) here today.

As for polling day, a total of 624 police personnel will be stationed at polling centers to ensure public safety.

He also advised voters to plan their visits to the polling centres, which will be open from 7.30am until 5.30pm.

“The situation is safe, and voters should remember to bring their MyKad. They should not hand over their MyKad to anyone except the polling agents,” he added. — DayakDaily
