Sarawak Covid-19 zones: 27 red, 5 orange, 7 yellow, 1 green

KUCHING, May 30: Sarawak has, as of today, 27 red zones, five orange, seven yellow and only one Covid-19 green zone.

According to the reports by State Disaster Management Committee (SDMC) today, the only changes in zones for today were Lawas that turned from yellow to orange and Saratok from red to orange status.


With that, the remaining 27 red zones are Meradong, Lubok Antu, Beluru, Asajaya, Tanjung Manis, Tatau, Julau, Bukit Mabong, Betong, Pusa, Belaga, Sebauh, Sri Aman, Pakan, Song, Kanowit, Selangau, Subis, Mukah, Sarikei, Samarahan, Serian, Kuching, Kapit, Bintulu, Miri and Sibu.

The red zones altogether recorded 8,431 cases in the past 14 days where 7,916 of them were local and 7,575 were still active as of this day.

One step lower to the orange zones, Saratok, Lawas, Daro, Simunjan and Bau registered 180 cases in total in the last two weeks where 157 were local and 139 of them remained active.

For the yellow zones, Tebedu, Limbang, Kabong, Matu, Marudi, Lundu and Dalat reported 68 total cases in the past fortnight with 58 of them local and 94 cases still active.

The only zone free from any Covid-19 infections for the last 14 days is Telang Usan. — DayakDaily
