KUCHING, Nov 26: Sarawak has recorded 144 new Covid-19 cases and three deaths today.
According to the State Disaster Management Committee (SDMC), 139 cases were of the mild Categories 1 and 2 while the remaining five were in the serious Categories 3, 4 and 5.
There were 52 Category 1’s, 87 Category 2’s, one Category 3, three Category 4’s, and one Category 5.
In terms of districts, Kuching remained at the top, registering 59 cases, followed by Miri (18), Bintulu (13), and Sibu (10).
The rest with new infections included Limbang (9), Lawas (6), Song (5), Serian (4), Betong, Sarikei (3 cases each), Mukah, Samarahan (2 cases each), Kapit, Kabong, Belaga, Kanowit, Tebedu, Daro, Pusa, Tatau, Beluru, and Subis (1 case each).
The cumulative number of Covid-19 cases in Sarawak now stands at 250,229 cases.
Meanwhile, SDMC also reported three new deaths today, whereby one each happened on Nov 16, 18, and 23.
The three victims, two from Betong and one from Kuching, were aged between 49 and 75.
With regard to clusters, there were neither new clusters nor new cases traced back to any existing clusters today.
Sarawak is now left with only four active clusters, namely the Putai 2 Cluster of Bukit Mabong, Ensurai Cluster of Limbang, Jalan Sultan Tengah Rampangi and Jalan Ong Tiang Swee Clusters of Kuching. — DayakDaily
