Sarawak Covid-19 death toll pushed to 1,648 today, four deaths including two BID

KUCHING, March 14: Sarawak reported four new deaths, including two brought-in-dead (BID) cases today, pushing the overall death toll in the State to 1,648.

According to the Sarawak Disaster Management Committee’s (SDMC) report, the four latest fatalities involved three men and one woman aged between 72 and 83.


All of them had various diseases with high blood pressure.

The first BID case involved a 72-year-old man from Sarikei who passed away on March 10.

On March 11, another BID case was reported involving a man from Serian aged 82. The same day also saw an 83-year-old woman from Sibu, who was receiving treatment at Sibu Hospital, die due to Covid-19.

The last fatality was reported on March 13 involving a 78-year-old man from Serian who was receiving treatment at Sarawak General Hospital (SGH). ― DayakDaily
